People often send letters through the post, but it can sometimes take a few days for the letter to arrive, a quicker way of communicating is by using E-mail.
What is E-mail?
E-mail is a way of sending a letter digitally using the Internet. E-mails are sent instantly through a computer network. People use computers, phones or tablets to send emails.
An email can travel to a computer on the other side of the world through the Internet in just a matter of seconds.
Can you think of a reason why email is a better way of communicating than sending a letter through the post?
