Lesson 6.2 Questionnaires
Aim:
Today you will need to identify your topic and think of at least two key questions that you would like to base your research on.
Be Informed:
Before you come up with your question, think about the type of data your responses will generate. I would suggest you include an opinion question and a yes/no question.
For example are you after an opinion e.g. "I don't think children should be allowed any kind of digital device in primary schools, because it would distract them from their learning."
Or are you more interested in numerical data e.g. 80% of parents said they think their children spend too much time online.
Check it out:
You can use one of your Office 365 applications called Forms to create your surveys. Mrs. Klein will show you how to do this.
Do:
Decide on your key question/s and your target group. Decide on the type of data you would like to generate. Create your survey using a format of your choice.
Extension:
Before carrying out your research it is important to explain to the participants how you are using the research. For example if you are interviewing someone have you checked that they are happy for video footage to made of the interview.
