Today you are going to have a go at solving and writing codes using a cipher. A cipher is a secret or disguised way of writing a message.

Can you crack the codes? Below are three puzzles for you to solve. They get progressively more challenging. Remember to use your logical thinking skills to crack each code.
Once you have finished deciphering the first puzzle you could then have a go at e-mailing a friend a secret message using the cipher.

Each letter of the alphabet has been moved three places to the left to make a code for sending secret messages. Can you figure out the message?

This way of making codes is named The Caesar Shift after Roman Emperor Julius Caesar (100 B.C. to 44 B.C.) who used it to send secret messages to his army.
